EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS

Many young children spend the majority of each day in child care. Current research shows that the years between birth and age 5 are the most formative for brain development. During this time, over 90% of brain growth takes place. Early childhood educators are not only caregivers for these children, but also responsible for helping families facilitate the child's social, emotional, behavioral, physical, intellectual, and academic development. Quality child care is essential, and teacher education is vital to providing quality care for our most important resources. Every child deserves a great teacher every day!
